Just back from doing the trans Pyrenees 7 day trip (day 4 was a rest day in Pamplona, much needed 😀, and what beautiful place to visit). First 3 days were big days out on the bikes in the most beautiful isolated places big climbs but so worth it for the scenery.
The last 3 days had lots of flowy singletrack descents, we actually took the option on the final day of doing uplifts of the many fun downhill trails around Hondariba as apposed to going cross country to San Sebastian, as we were all feeling a little tired 🙂. The food the beer the accommodation all top notch.
Couldn't recomend it enough and Beñat is a fantastic guide, giving great local knowledge along the way 🙂.
Will definitely go back 🙂

I greatly enjoyed and appreciated the mountain bike ride I did with Basque by Bike. This company is a very welcoming and gracious host to me. Hondaribbia is a picturesque backdrop for some of the most interesting samplings of Basque MTB trails.And there are many other trails around for day trips or vacation. I was picked up from my hotel in San Sebastian on the dot and was brought to Hondaribbia, on the French-Spanish border, and back to my hotel. I can't thank Basque by Bike enough - I rented a Focus eBike from their wide selection of full suspension analog and e-bikes. Coming from the U.S. and didn't want to carry equipment, Basque by Bike lent me a helmet, protection pads and even a pair flat pedal shoes. I am so amazed by their kindness and generosity, and I can't believe that I actually experienced Basque MTB trails with just a carry-on luggage. Benat is very knowledgeable about the Basque culture, history and politics, and I've learned so much. He is a very skilled MTB guide who quickly adjusted to my riding level, from a basic family riding pace to rowdy, steep rock garden downhills. We capped the ride with a delicious Basque light lunch at a rustic rural community restaurant.
It was such a wonderful once in a lifetime experience that I'm reeling for more MTB rides in the Basque Country and the Pyrenees soon.

What and awesome 4 days we had with Basquebybike. we had all kinds of terrain, Rocky out crops, fast flowy forest, techy climbs and rolling coast. Benat and Ibon are not just excellent riders but great hosts with good local knowledge. To top it all off Benat's apartment is bang in the middle of Hondarribia which has excellent food and bars (Grand Sol a stand out). thanks again both and cannot wait to go again.

I booked a day trip for my self and my young adult children. We had a wonderful time with Basque by Bike. They were able to put together a route that was incredibly scenic and was a great challenge for everyone, from my inexperienced daughter to the more experienced riders in the group. They also rented wonderful Orbea bikes.

Had a fantastic week with Basque by Bike. The trails and the riding was top notch. Just the way I expected and even more. The area of San Sebastián and Hondarribia is really beautiful and full of great mountain biking. Guides of Basque by Bike are very skilled riders and take care of you the best way possible. I really felt welcome there and the hospitality of the people I met was something that I did not expect.

The trails, the mountains, the sea, the forests, especially the people, the food, list goes on. Left a bit of my heart in Basque Country and will surely be back someday. Thanks!

A really great experience start to finish! Beñat picked me up from San Sebastián, got me set up on my rental (a really nice Orbea), and gave me a brief tour of Hondarribia, the beautiful town where Basque by Bike is based. From there we rode incredible coastal trails until lunch, then shuttled to two exhilarating descents perfectly suited to my skill level. The day trip was run very well and I would recommend one to any mtb rider traveling through the area.

I have nothing but good things to say about Basque by Bike! They were able to put together an itinerary that fit everyone in a group with a diverse range of ages and mountain biking experiences. The trails were beautiful, the full-suspension bikes were great, and our guides were amazing.

Our ride took us along the gorgeous coast and into the forest, through beautiful seaside towns, and turned us out in San Sebastian where we sat and enjoyed a well-earned beer.
